The Littlest Golfer Unveils Spring Line at Carolinas PGA 2009
Merchandise Show Specialty company offers unique golf
clothing and gear for infants and children
ASHEVILLE, NC—On February 16, The Littlest Golfer unveiled its
spring line of golf apparel and gear for infants and children at the
Carolinas PGA 16th Annual Merchandise Show in Myrtle Beach, SC.
The Littlest Golfer recently launched its online store, TheLittlestGolfer.com,
to provide specialty golf apparel, accessories and toys for infants
and children up to 12 years of age.
Avid golfers, parents, and company founders Kris and Keri Wilson of
Asheville, North Carolina believe children are never too young to start
playing golf and enjoying the many health and character-building benefits
the sport provides.
The Wilson’s philosophy on golf can be summed up in just four
words:
Start Younger, Play Longer!
Children’s golf is one of the fastest growing segments of the
sport, and many children’s golf programs now start at age 6.
Surprisingly, the golf apparel industry has not kept up (or scaled
down) to meet the needs of these littlest golfers. That is, until now.
The Littlest Golfer’s children’s apparel is constructed
using the same quality fabrics and performance standards that adult
golfers demand. The company’s signature turtle characters and
child-friendly designs ensure the clothing is as fun to wear as it
is functional and comfortable.
TheLittlestGolfer.com provides
a wide assortment of golf-themed infant and children’s wear including
onesies, golf shirts, tee-shirts, knickers, shorts, skirts, dresses,
performance outerwear and fun accessories like socks, caps, bibs, diaper
bags, and character plush toys. More products are currently in development.
Although the company is only in its first year, it has already been
an active supporter of community causes.
In 2008, The Littlest Golfer sponsored the Eliada Charity Classic
golf tournament that raised more than $36,000 for children and families
in need in Western North Carolina. The company looks forward to raising
even more money this year when it sponsors the Eliada
tournament on April 27, 2009. |
