Supporting Children, Families and Communities
At The Littlest Golfer, we believe golf not only builds strong bodies and minds, it also builds strong families and communities. We actively seek out opportunities to support organizations that improve lives, particularly children’s.
Founder and CEO Kris Wilson has been an active supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since 1990. St. Jude is a cutting-edge medical treatment and research facility dedicated to treating children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases—regardless of their families’ ability to pay.
In April 2008, The Littlest Golfer sponsored the Eliada Charity Classic. This inaugural golf tournament raised more than $36,000 to support children and families in need through Eliada’s residential, child development, foster care, community support, and therapeutic recreation services. In September, The Littlest Golfer will sponsor Next Step Recovery’s second annual golf tournament. Next Step Recovery is a nonprofit transitional living program for adult males recovering from substance abuse. NSR helps men develop the life skills necessary to rebuild relationships that often include children who have been adversely affected by their parent’s addiction.
